About Dr. Philips

Approach

As a psychiatrist at West Coast Psychiatry, I partner with patients and comprehensively consider lifestyle habits, biology, and psychology, not only to achieve psychological well-being, but to enhance it. Although part of my role may be to suggest medications, I try to use the minimum number of medications at the lowest dose that actually works. Outside of medications, I use various forms of psychotherapy including supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and CBT-I for insomnia/sleep problems.

I look forward to getting to know you.
